First of all, it is known that if you want to put on muscles, then you must go out and start working out, which could break down your muscle tissues. When you start lifting weights, a huge amount of blood will be running through your veins, which gives you the so-called "pump" effect. Not only does it allow your muscles to extend fully, but it also makes your body temperature rise. With the process of weight lifting, your muscle tissues will actually begin to break down. In other words, the more you lift, the more your body is going to be damaged. However, the "damage" is not equivalent to injury, it is more of a little chemical reaction that is going on in your body. You must intentionally break down your muscles by working out.

Secondly, you must consume enough nutrition in order to repair your damaged muscles. Basically, now that your body is damaged and wishes to be stronger in order to meet the requirements of weight lifting. At this juncture, a good amount of calories is needed. Also, those calories need to be rich in multiple nutrition like protein, carbohydrate, and fiber. Normally, we eat three meals a day, now you need at least five a day to meet the daily calories intakes that would make you gain bodyweight. Eating is the most important part of muscle building. It is just like when people try to construct a building, they need materials like bricks, concretes, and metals to build, and the same as the human body. Overall, it requires materials for our body to grow.

Thirdly, you must provide sufficient time for your body to repair, which means you need to get enough sleep. According to statistics, a sufficient amount of time for the muscle to grow ranges from seven to nine hours. Nowadays, we tend to stay up late at night, for things in life must be taken care of. Still, you must sleep enough to get your body doing the repair. Accordingly, it takes time for people to construct a building, so as it takes time for the muscle tissues to grow. If you do not rest enough at night but still do those workouts during the day, you might end up getting a real "injury", which could lead you to permanent body damage.

In a nutshell, if your fitness goal is to achieve a muscular body type, you must work extremely hard to get your body to realize that it is not good enough, and needs to be stronger. Next, you provide an adequate amount of calories that are rich in nutrition for the body to do the repair. Lastly, go to bed early and sleep more, for it is when the "magic” begins to happen. I guarantee that you will become stronger as long as you follow these steps and never give up.
